The work program of the trade mission to Antalya, organized by BCCI, started with an official meeting with the hosts from Antalya Industrial Zone /AOSB/.

Ali Bahar, chairman of Antalya Industrial Zone, welcomed the participants and introduced the leading 10 sectors in the zone, including construction, textiles, agriculture, etc. He said that 390 companies are currently operating in the zone. In addition to companies, AOSB operates a technical college that trains specialized staff, a school, a medical center, etc. Bahar emphasizes the advantages of the zone – among them security, flexibility, an attractive place for investments, a wide range of services intended for investors.

Tsvetan Simeonov, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanked the Turkish partners for the support provided in the implementation of the current trade mission. He shared that trade relations between Bulgaria and Turkey are developing steadily and investment opportunities are growing. Bulgaria accepts Turkey as an important trade partner – it is not by chance that the country ranks first in both the export and import of Bulgarian goods to third countries. Simeonov emphasized the possibilities for potential cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering, new technologies, the furniture industry and others. The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized that Bulgaria can be an entry point for Turkish goods on the European market.

The Bulgarian companies included in the mission and their interests in Antalya were presented.

The official part was followed by visits to the production bases of companies from the furniture and woodworking industry – the production of pellets and stoves for heating Kingwood, as well as a factory for the production of lighting fixtures Fiberli. The participants in the Bulgarian delegation had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the production process and ask their questions regarding the realization, technical parameters and markets of the companies.

The work program continues with bilateral meetings and factory visits.
