One of the meetings of the Bulgarian business delegation that visited Moldova last week was with the management of the Moldexpo International Exhibition Center in Chisinau.

The Bulgarian companies met with the executive director Zinaida Popa and discussed the possibilities of participating in exhibitions and fairs organized in the Moldovan capital.

Zinaida Popa explained that after three years of limited exhibition activity due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, Moldexpo again has a rich and attractive program, which includes exhibitions in the sectors of energy, agriculture, tourism, cosmetics, construction and many others. The exhibitions are visited by both local businesses and partners from Ukraine and Romania and can be the basis for extended contacts with companies from the entire region.

Nikola Todorov, head of the Office for Trade and Economic Affairs of Bulgaria in Chisinau, emphasized that our country regularly participates in the tourist exhibition and has the largest stand this year.

The possibilities for the presence of Bulgarian participants at Moldexpo events in the form of national participation or at specialized exhibitions of interests were discussed.

Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of International Cooperation at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, offered a partnership in the wider informing of Bulgarian companies about the exhibitions organized in Chisinau. She emphasized the possibilities for cooperation between BCCI and Moldexpo.

The Bulgarian companies got acquainted with the different strategies implemented by the exhibition center for focusing on a specific market, economic sector and creating favorable conditions for B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) meetings.

The representatives of the Bulgarian companies expressed their satisfaction with the excellent organization of the business trip to Moldova, prepared by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Ministry of Energy and the Moldovan Investment Agency, noting that it was extremely fruitful, optimally saturated with meetings and events.
